FAQ

Frequently asked questions

General answers about Bloomiot Workspace SaaS, optional hardware, billing, and how to get started.

  1. What is Bloomiot?

Bloomiot Workspace is cloud irrigation intelligence software (SaaS). It monitors soil moisture, flow, pressure, and valve status in real time. Optional field devices can connect to Workspace, but the product sold online is the software subscription.

  2. Who is Bloomiot designed for?

Bloomiot is built for growers, farm managers, and irrigation operators who need clearer visibility, earlier fault detection, and more confident irrigation decisions across multiple zones.

  3. Is hardware included when I subscribe online?

No. Online Scale checkout bills only the digital Workspace subscription. Optional Bloomiot sensor nodes, edge controllers, and related physical goods are sold separately through offline sales quotes and are never fulfilled through Paddle checkout.

  4. Do I need technical expertise to install it?

Bloomiot Workspace is designed for straightforward cloud onboarding. Connecting your own devices uses documented MQTT and integration guides. Optional Bloomiot hardware deployments depend on operation size and are arranged separately with sales.

  5. What can I monitor in the dashboard?

The dashboard shows soil moisture by zone, total flow, main-line pressure, leak risk indicators, sensor health, alerts, and main valve status from one operational view.

  6. Can I use Bloomiot Workspace with my own hardware?

Yes. Subscribe to Workspace SaaS and connect ecosystems such as ESP32, Arduino, Seeed, Raspberry Pi, Particle, Texas Instruments, Modbus / RS-485 gateways, and LoRaWAN nodes — or optional Bloomiot devices purchased separately.

  7. How does Bloomiot help reduce water waste?

By combining local sensing with operational visibility, Bloomiot helps teams irrigate based on actual field conditions instead of fixed schedules or assumptions alone.

  8. Is there a pilot program available?

Yes. Bloomiot offers a Pilot plan for field validation and first deployment cycles. You can request access through the Try free option on the pricing section.

  9. How do pricing plans work?

Pilot, Scale, and Enterprise are Workspace software plans billed per site and MQTT-connected device. Scale online checkout is a digital SaaS subscription processed by Paddle. Hardware and professional services, if any, are quoted and invoiced separately outside that checkout.

  10. What does Paddle checkout charge for?

Paddle processes payment only for the Bloomiot Workspace Scale software subscription (digital goods). It does not sell or ship physical hardware, kits, or devices.

  11. How can I contact the Bloomiot team?

You can reach us at hello@bloomiot.com, join the waitlist on the website, or submit a pricing inquiry for commercial plans.

  12. Where is Bloomiot available?

Bloomiot is expanding through pilot programs and early deployments. Contact our team to discuss availability, rollout scope, and integration needs for your operation.

  13. What is smart irrigation control?

Smart irrigation control uses soil moisture, pressure, and operational data to open and close valves when the crop actually needs water, instead of a fixed calendar. Bloomiot Workspace is the software layer; optional Bloomiot hardware or your own compatible devices provide the field signals.

  14. Does Bloomiot sell a drip irrigation kit?

No. Bloomiot does not sell drip irrigation kits, tubing, or emitters. Optional sensor nodes and edge controllers can control existing drip and open-field systems. The product sold online is the Workspace software subscription.

  15. How much does a soil moisture sensor cost?

There is no public soil moisture sensor price. Optional Bloomiot hardware is quoted per deployment. Workspace SaaS pricing is public: Pilot is free, Scale is $49/month, and Enterprise is custom. Hardware is never billed through Paddle checkout.

  16. Does Bloomiot work with distributors and precision agriculture companies?

Yes. Bloomiot works with growers and with distributors, technology partners, and precision agriculture companies that need an IoT platform to monitor soil moisture, automate irrigation, and detect leaks. Use the waitlist or a pricing inquiry to start a partner conversation.
